Walden vs. Kaplan vs. U of Phoenix

I am a 40 year old professional who always managed to get by without having a degree. I'm now finding it not only necessary to have a degree to move forward, but it's always been a goal that I've put off time and again. I have no prior college experience and would prefer to an online program. I'm looking for a BSBA and have looked into Walden, Kaplan and U of Phoenix.

I've seen discussion and comments on Walden and U of Phoenix being "diploma mills" and/or having substandard professors, but then seen the exact opposite opinions on other sites.

I'm looking for honest opinions on all three schools, and open to any suggestions for others. I'm not the type of person to hope around from school to school to see where I fit in. I want to make a full commitment to one program.

Ph.D programs

These distance learning universities all offer Ph.Ds.

Can anyone rank them in descending order of total students registered (Total student body population in Ph.D programs) in any type of Ph.D program.

I assume University of Phoenix is number one. Perhaps Capella or Walden is number two. I do not need the actual numbers, just the ranking

Hello, I am rather new to this so please bear with me. I know I've asked this question a few days ago , and already Steve F has give me quite a good answer. I just need your opinion, you guys out there. My interest is to take a doctoral (doctorate) degree in education- with specialization in leadership and/or curriculum and instruction---I am not saying I'll go 100% online, a classroom setting may work but only like 25% of the total 3-4 year program. I live in So California and I am part-time English professor (Comm. College) and an Englsih as A Second language instructor (LAUSD-adult Division). My choices for the online universities are: Phoenix U., Cal Lutheran, Walden, Capella (Liberty, Fielding). Need your opinion, and or suggestion or recommendation. Thanks.

Choosing an online college to complete my Masters

Hi everyone,

I am new to this website and to the forums. I need advice, I am currently in a rut as an Administrative Assistant, and need a career change. I have my bachelors degree in Human Services/Mgt, but I do not want to go into that field. I am leaning more to a degree in Human Resouces. What is the best online school to go to, since a traditional college is out of the question for me. I earned my 4 yr degree from University of Phoenix, but do not want to go back there. I want the most bang for my buck, any advice?
