I would go the GED route as well.
Go to: http://www.gedforfree.com/index.html
Just use a bunch of fake information for the registration and a spam e-mail address (so you wont get calls/mail/e-mail advertisements for different colleges)

If you were a football star or a cheerleader you might scoff at the idea of online high school. For me, if it was available during my high school years I would definitely take this option. There were a lot of troublemakers and I was bullied in school. I begged my parents to home school me but they wouldn't hear of it. For one, it's expensive and I ...

It came up about 1/4 of the time. Yes, some of the jobs were in the education sector. I was a transfer credit evaluator at a university for awhile. The job posting on their website made NO mention of the regional accreditation requirement. But when they contacted me via e-mail after I sent my resume they offered an ...

I took some proctored exams for BYU courses. They didn't allow notes for any of the courses I took with them. Suck! The best thing you can do is go through the course objectives and make a study guide. It helps to make sure you grasp and remember all the concepts from the course. Try practice problems from your homework and make sure you can ...

I agree with MartyS regarding regional accreditation. I wouldn't waste my time/money with anything that is not RA. As I was applying for jobs I noticed that some of them explicitly said that the degree had to be RA. The math crap (errrrr.....stuff) is actually useful (especially the discrete math).
Also check out Troy's Applied CS ...

I would go with Bellevue. It's cheaper then U of Phoenix and there is less stigma associated with the school. I looked at Bellevue's Business and Business Administration degree outline. The Business degree looked kind of weak. It looked like it was missing quite a few courses a good business program should have. I think you would get more ...

I took several CS classes online. It's a very difficult program to take online. I don't think it was just me either. I noticed other people in my online class just barely made the deadline. I spent WAY more time in my CS classes than my business classes (including the quant classes!). If you decide to take CS online, be prepared to spend A ...

What city/state are you trying to obtain employment?
When I was applying to jobs it took 12 applications a day for 2 months before I got a job. I think it's a numbers game. It was my experience that career fairs were a joke. It was all talk and no action. Also, applying via monster and other huge job sites were also a waste of time for ...

Yeah, I will check out the list and then contact the schools.
-
Wow, thanks for the extensive list. It even breaks it down to specialized accreditation. Something else for me to consider.
-
There isn't a specific area or school type. I will check out your suggestions.
Thanks

I didn't mean to imply that I didn't like webct/blackboard. It just would be nice to have the online streaming lectures.
-
Greetings,
I am researching online MBA programs. There are so many programs that
it makes my head spin. I was hoping to find a program that was more innovative
than just using blackboard or webct. I was hoping for more of an interactive
experience with streaming lectures and online live discussion. I don't know if
anyone has used ...

I know that APU/AMU accepts credits from nationally accredited schools. Their cost is $250/semester hour, which includes books.

Marty,
Even though I had trouble getting enough interaction from the professors I didn't want to imply that Regis is a "joke". I worked my butt off to get my grades. I just got frustrated that when I had a problem it took too long to get a meaningful response.
-
Did you mostly take your courses online or at one of their campuses in Colorado?
I experienced little/no interaction in my online courses. I was curious if I would had a better experience if I took one of their courses in a traditional classroom. I don't live in Colorado so that was never an option.

I am trying to complete my B.S. computer science degree with Regis University. They have been excellent with taking prior course work from previous traditional colleges. However, after my fourth course I am very frustrated. With the exception of one professor, I get little/no interaction with the professor. The courses are offered in a 8-week ...
