Will any technician certificate program be approved for technician registration in Florida?
Answer: Pharmacy technician training programs approved by a nationally recognized pharmacy technician accredited agency, American Society of Healthsystem Pharmacists, Accreditation Council of Pharmaceutical Education, United States Uniformed Services, ...

I was wondering is their a benefit to take the training on NPTA's website:
http://www.pharmacytechnician.org/institute
The tuition for NPTA is $1,895
or go with the Penn Foster/ Ashworth college, the tuition for PF and AC is around $600

www.Bookswim.com also rent textbooks

I found this under accreditation on Penn Foster's website:
Additional Penn Foster Career School institutional and faculty memberships and affiliations include:
American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)

Hi..I was wondering what's the difference between offline strictly and online with textbooks (combination).
-
I have found 3 schools: US Career Institute, Ashworth College and Penn Foster.
I also found a training program by NPTA which is National Pharmacy Technician Association, they have a training program tuition $1,895.
My question is are the above 3 schools accredited by NPTA or ASHP and ACPE?

Cajun: Well I know that the basic educational evaluation test given by most police departments are given at the onset of the application process. As such it's not as if you take the exam and submit your scores to other departments but instead each department will independently test you. I think the practice exams are for those ...

Kind of like a diagnostic test or skills assesment, etc.
Thanks for the info.

Cajun:That is good news. However are all Penn Foster classes ACE reviewed or just specific ones and do they tell you which are which?
I'm hoping all of the courses.. I will have to ask them

tcord1964: If the college you want to transfer the Penn Foster course to accepts ACE-reviewed credit, you SHOULD be OK, but of course you will want to check with the college first. Most of the courses in Penn Foster College's degree programs are reviewed by ACE.
Good News. I got this letter from SPJC ...

Cajun:Have you contacted Penn Foster? Are you sure these credits will transfer into your school of choice? Penn Foster is a nationally accredited school which may cause some problems unless you have otherwise been assured the credits will transfer (in writing I hope). Otherwise you may wish to stick with regionally accredited ...

tcord1964: Steve has good advice. I think too often people think they need to take a course to rack up some college credit, when they could save some time and money by just testing out with a CLEP or DANTES exam. Make sure the college will grant credit for the exam first.
I also have to give a plug for Penn Foster ...
