I just graduated from UOP with my associates in business and it is expensive. At the associates level I was paying about $2,000 every nine weeks two classes at a time. I am transferring all of my credits to American Public University for my bachelor degree which is cheaper than my associates at UOP was. APU is $750 a class which is exactly ...

APU will accept all of my credits from UOP!!!!!!!! $750.00 per class and free books, cool, cool, cool, I even get to pick my own instructors for each of my classes. I have never heard of this before but then again I have lived a sheltered life at Axia. I have decided on the BBA and will probably be starting in Oct. or Nov. ...

Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!! I really like this forum, the information found on these boards is priceless. Hey, if it wasn't for you guys I probably wouldn't be looking at other schools right now. This site is a life saver when it comes to information about online schools. Just in the last couple of weeks I have learned so much, and for ...

All positive feedback, great. I just sent them my transcipts. The UOP credits cost me a small fortune. It would be a shame if i could not apply them. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
-
I still requested information from them. I am still trying to figure out how the whole process works, and did not realize that you actually have to sometimes apply to get the whole process moving forward as far as information goes. I am just now figuring out that "applying" does not mean "committing". What I like ...

I am also taking a close look at Columbia College, they both seem to be good schools.

I talked with a representative from APU today about transfering all of my 60 credits from Axia and he sounded very positive that I would be able to transfer all of them . The price for a bachelor degree in business at APU is half the cost of UOP and even less than my associates was from Axia. Any students currently attending APU? or ...

WOW, just got off the phone with Peru State and the lady was not helpful at all. She pretty much told me that all of the information was on the WEB site, to fill out the app and send them my transcripts and that was it. When I started to ask her specific questions she once again reminded me that all of the information I needed was on the site, not ...

I have also requested info from Bellevue, Charter Oaks, and American Public University. From the info that I have gotten from all of you these are all good schools.
-
So you go to Bellevue Cajun, how do you like it? I have seen Bellevue on my tuition reimbursement list. This could be one of the schools that I look into. I took a quick look at some of their bachelor business programs and I see they have "group' learning. What are some of the pros and cons about Bellevue?

donald11: As far as whether your associates degree will transfer, I don't know. You'll have to ask them. Here is some info from their website:
54-hour curriculum may be completed part-time in 3 years, or full-time in 2 years
Recent BBA graduates may need as few as 30 hours: up to 24 hours may be waived by excellent ...

SteveFoerster: Well, if you've decided that Sustainability Management isn't as important after all, and a normal Bachelor's in Management or Business Administration would be fine, then you may want to look at some bargains from the Midwest: Nebraska's Peru State College
Missouri's Columbia CollegeKansas's Fort Hays State ...

donald11:If your interested Steve, the University of Houston has online program where you can get your BSBA and your MBA in 5 years instead of the customary 6. However, you must get your bachelors degree from them in order to shave off the extra year.
Thanks for the feedback and the recommendations!!!!!!!!! So if I went into the program ...

Cajun:Hi Steven, the BSBA is certainly the most common prereq for an MBA. That being said I think in most cases a Bachelor of Science in Business would be too. Generally you have to have a minimum of X amount of hours in finance, X amount of hours in statistics and x amount of hours in accounting. If you don't you may have ...

I am still undecided and am really having a hard time trying to figure this out. At first I was set at what I wanted to do, but I just do not know if the specialized degree is worth the hefty price tag. If I decide not to get the specialized degree I will probably transfer just because of cost. I am definately going to look at some ...

Just got off the phone from Colorado Tech and they will accept all of my 60 credits from Axia to go into their BSBM program if I decide to go that route. I will be finishing up my associates degree at Axia Oct 4th. I initially was going to say at UOP and enroll in the business and sustainable management program but am having serious second ...

Here is another question for all you experts out there that I was thinking about today. For some reason I have started to think way into the future about an MBA as it is a couple of years away and it is never to early to come up with plan. As some of you know I have enrolled in the BSB/SEM program at UOP. When I decide that I want to get my ...

I will be starting my bachelors in a few months at UOP and was wondering how the team learning concept works. So far I have heard mixed results and was wondering if any current students or alumni could shed a little light on the subject and talk about their experience with team learning at UOP. From what I understand team learning is supposed help ...

Thanks Cajun!!!!!!!!! I will keep whomever is interested updated on my experiences as I finish up my associates and move into the bachelor program at Phoenix. Its going to be a few months but it should be quite interesting. Just might help answer some questions to anyone who is new here and wondering what it is ...
-
Cajun, how did you get past that negative experience and attend anyways? I know that when I was looking and I came across what I thought was a rude or unkowledgable admissions person I crossed them off my list immediately. Was it because of the knowledge that you already had about Ashworth and you knew that it was just a ...

Yeah its gonna be for me!!!!!! I just think that it would be an awesome degree to have and there are not many choices when it comes to the online format. This is where I think Phoenix does a good job on offering so many different choices. With so many businesses trending towards "green" especially energy companies and the one that ...

Thank you for the input, both of you. I am going to check some thing out.

Hi Cajun, Thank you for asking and yes I do get tuition reimburesment. My employer pays $5,200 yearly for my tuition which is a lifesaver because UOP is so darn expensive. Tuition rates went up again in July - $345.00 - per credit hour for the associates program and more for thye bachelors, YIKES!!!!!!!. I can't complain ...

"Yeah, but the quality of the students at most of these schools like U of P are generally lacking". Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go to UOP and I am not lacking. I am a supervisor at a powerplant and I work for a large company and my managers are tickled that I am attending college. They have no problem with me attending UOP. What a ...

Hi everyone I am new here and would just like to tell everyone about my positive experience at Axia. I have 2 classes left until I am finished with my associates in business at Axia and it has been great. My GPA is a 3.98 and have found most of the coursework very challenging. This is coming from someone who graduated from high school in 1985 ...
