Thanks, Steve!
that's a technique used very commonly in marketing surveys because it increases response rates. With the uber-short time given to get this survey done, I needed the leverage.
Plus it's a nice way to do a good deed in appreciation of people's time!

Are you looking for just a general BS CS, because if so, you're right, there aren't that many. But there are well over 500 BS CS that have a "specialty area" defined with them, such as:
Limestone College (SC)
Bachelor of Science Computer Science/Internet Management - General
University of Wisconsin - Platteville ...

Hi John-
My last stint in college was also 1993, and it was kind of intimidating going back after so long. The thing is you are totally in charge of your learning, and you have to manage it like any other work project. This past year, with each semester I'm learning tricks to help me better manage my time and stick to a study schedule. ...

Hi Everybody!
For my Graduate Research class my project is about Adult Online Learners. In short, why did you choose online learning? What barriers did you face? What do you expect from your education provider?
Unfortunately I have to process my data for the assignment Sat. morning (Aug. 1) so responses after that won't be figured into the ...

Did you check out boise Sate U.? You can start with a certificate, and roll it into a Masters. I will be going there for an online teaching cert. while I finish my current MS.

Sorry....misread your post. (never mind!) How about Dakota State's Doctor of Science in Information Systems, or is that off-base?

I am currently doing a grad research paper on Adult Online Learners and found that the research is kind of thin. It seems most of it is coming from market research specialists. Try these online publications: The International Review of Research in Open and Distance Learning, and Online Journal of Distance Learning AdministrationAllen, ...

Online education is a model that meets the needs of today's society: it is not constrained by time and physical space. The model of traditional education - at least in the US - was created for an agrarian society, which accounts for a traditional summer break to work the fields! The fastest-growing demographic in higher education ...

Sorry about the delay in responding...I've not been here for a couple weeks.
I'm not going to sugar-coat it, but I am working my tail off for Amberton classes, on the graduate level- can't speak about the undergraduate level. I am averaging 8-10 APA research papers, approx. 12 pages in length, per class, plus tests. Just because ...

It can be a matter of personal preference, but odds are you will always have at least one lousy team member. My husband has had team projects in every class for AIU, and without exception, he has had to deal with dead weight teammates and others unwilling or unable to lead.
The difference between "real world" teams and online team ...

Amberton University, TX (regionally accredited) is currently $225 per credit hour, which is $675 per 3 credit course. This is for both grad and undergrad classes; in-state or out-of-state students. Their degrees focus on Business, Human Resources, and Counseling. Jacksonville State University, AL (regionally ...

Adult ADD. I'm doing well, and improving with each semester (this is my 4th). Time management strategies are a must, and I've picked up some good tips from an Adult ADD Newsletter and from "Getting Things Done"(GTD). This semester I made a color-coded weekly schedule and included daily study time for each class, plus daily ...

Hi Cajun-
I have been enjoying my Amberton experience, and would recommend them to anyone interested in the business, counseling, and human resources fields. The hybrid MS degree I'm taking is great, and is what sealed the deal. Their cost per course is awesome. I'm paying for this out-of-pocket, and it's a fraction of the cost of PSU ...

Hi Steve-
I'm using a laptop running Vista (blech - slooooow!!!!!) which comes with its own Windows VR software that has never worked right for me. So I got Dragon Naturally Speaking 10.0 from hubby.
Dragon 10 seems to get quirky on Vista - it ran much better on XP. Hubby has zero problems with the same software running on XP. Since losing ...

Hi everybody- nice to meet all of you! Greeting from Pennsylvania, in the beautiful Susquehanna Valley and the heart of "Amish country". In searching for an online community, I came across this forum.
I'm a (currently unemployed) career-changing middle-aged adult student who is enrolled at Amberton University for an ...
