Help - Choosing a University by shortest time required to finish...

I'm creeping up on 40, have a well established, professional and demanding career with a ton of travel and am doing well but I never finished college. (Originally communications/PR) Can someone suggest the best online university based on the following criteria:

    1. - Shortest time to complete. I don't want to be buried in studies for 3 or 4 years. I want to get in and get out. The university isn't that important. Getting the / a degree quickly is. FYI - I have about 2 years worth of college credits from a Cal State and JC school but that was 18 years ago.

    2. - Easiest work load. Again, my days are already jammed with work, travel and family. Easy and short over "big name" is fine.

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm looking for the easy way out. I'm willing to do the work required but am NOT looking for a regular 4 year university work load and time-line.  Cost is also not that important.

Any insight, opinion, etc. is very appreciated.

Ishq, in my opinion going back to school may not be right for you then.  There is no "easy way out" and going to school online is anything but a shortcut.  Why exactly do you need the degree?  How many hours a week do you think you can dedicate to the effort?  You should count on at least 10 to 12 hours a week per course you take.  At that rate with one course per semester you're still looking at a couple of years or more in even accelerated programs and that's if you transfer in 2 years of work.

Alternatively you could test yourself into a degree program at such schools as Excelsior College but that is still considerable effort and takes up a bunch of time.

I agree with Cajun, I think you really need to think about the reasons behind the pursuit of this degree.  Nothing comes easy I don't care how fast you "need" it.  No matter where you go, it's going to be time, you have to study, commit to papers, tests, and other assignments.

I hope you are enlightened soon.  Not trying to discourage or insult you, but anything reputable will take work and diligence.  I'm sorry we can't be of more help.
