    Re: Aspen Grad ceremony

I've never been to any of mine (since high school) but I'm planning to go to mine for when I'm done with my doctorate. Still, it's nice of them to try to do something like this to recognize their students, even being a distance learning school.

I went to both of mine and highly recommend doing it yourself if at all possible.  It's hard to explain suffice to say it's something everyone who works as hard as we do deserve to experience at least once in our lifetime.

    Re: Aspen Grad ceremony

    Indeed very nice.

To bad the trip will cost me 40 % of what I paid for the degree Angry

It would have been nice to attend...

Maybe I can rob a bank, or something.....

    Re: Aspen Grad ceremony

Look at it this way, John -- if one trip would be 40% of the cost of your degree it means your degree could have cost a lot more!

No kidding!  For what I paid for my MBA I could have traveled europe for a summer in decent comfort.

See Steve, you don't know what you missed.  I'll bet you go to your doctorate commencement, otherwise how will you know how to put on all those tassles, hoods, dangly thingy-majigs and stripes on your sleave?

    Re: Aspen Grad ceremony

Details have just arrived from Dr. Lady in relation to the ceremony. Looks real good.

So far I must say I am very satisfied with the work of Dr. Lady. I've been exchanging a couple of informal mails with him, and he has a lot of great plans for the future. If he manages to pull all his plans off in a respectable manner, and still keep the cost down, I would believe Aspen will be in for an substantial increase of students.....

Actually, I'm not that heartless, I knew I was doing all three of my degrees in a row, so I decided to wait and just do the doctoral one since it's the end of the road. Smile
