How long should I wait for a reply?

How long should I wait for a reply?

A month ago, I sent an e-mail to one of the admissions counselors at the University of Illinois at Springfield inquiring about their online BSCS program.  I'm still waiting for a reply.  It seems that she could have at least acknowledged my e-mail by now.  Should I try one of the other counselors, or send a message to the general admissions address?  Or, since it isn't critical that I receive the information right away, should I just assume that she's really busy and wait a while longer?

BTW, it's unlikely that she's not receiving my messages.  A few days after I sent the e-mail, the service that I was using began experiencing serious server problems, so I sent another message from a different address, asking her to send replies there.

I'd switch counselors and call first thing Monday.  That's not how potential students should be treated...anyways, email is often ineffective until you at least first establish a bit of phone contact.  I usually don't wait more than a day or two before calling.

I agree, send an email to a different counselor, and follow up with a phone call if you haven't received a useful response (something that actually answers the questions you sent) within forty-eight hours.

You're a potential customer for a very expensive service, and I don't think there's anything wrong with expecting to be treated like one.
