Hi Brenda, and welcome!  It sounds like you already have a plan, but if there's anything we can answer for you, please let us know.

Welcome to the forums.  I earned my MBA from Ashford University, loved it.  How have they been for you so far?

    Re: Greetings

Let me tll you, I have been out of high school for 29 years...I was scared to death! However, I am so impressed by Ashford and the support I recieve. I highly reccomend on-line schooling and Ashford o those who ask. I am going for my BA in Sociology with education concentration and minor in child development in early education. I figure when I am 50 I will begin my new career!

Welcome to online learning.  I'm fairly new to this site as well but have known about it for quite some time.   Glad to see that you've made your way back to school, just doing that alone is hard.  I commend you for that.  Take care.

    Re: Greetings

I consider Ashford to be a specialist in orienting and working with adult learners.  For a campus based program, they have the slickest execution of online learning I've ever seen, totally administrative transparency, 0% red tape, consistent format and presentation, really only the material covered changes much from course to course.  I briefly discussed adult learning with Dr. Clugston, (a big hitter at the U.) and he was working on a book about transitioning military vets into a college environment...interesting stuff but what is more interesting is how connected and what a priority the university places on adult learners as being distinctly different than their younger campus based learners.  What's more amazing is how many other schools out there just don't get that.

If you look at the top right corner of the screen, you should see a set of links that look sort of like this:

Click on your screen name and you'll see options on how to put in some profile info.
