    school code?

I can't find a federal code for Penn Foster. Don't all schools have one?

They would have to be a Title IV participating school eligable for Federally backed loans.  I don't think they need it as they provide loans at a lower interest rate than even the government can.

No, only those schools that offer federal student loans and grants, which PFC doesn't.

    Re: school code?

Oh, thanks, guys. I was just afraid it was saying something bad about their "legitimate-ness" when my mom asked me and I couldn't find it. Thankfully, Penn Foster is the one school I can afford without a loan. Thanks again,

You probably won't get this post but I just foubd out per a student that this school does not participate  with a federal Student loans so there fore they would not have a government code and this just made my decision easier to go to a universary from the start, I've stuck like this before and have learned from past mistakes. good luck

If you say that because you specifically need federal financial aid to be able to go to school, then I understand.  But if you take this as some sort of indicator of whether or not PFC is serious, I'd have to disagree.  The infrastructure required to administer federal financial aid programs isn't cheap for schools, and PFC is trying to keep tuition as low as possible.

PFC does not participate in any federal student loan programs, although I believe you could get a private student loan if needed.  Honestly, the monthly payments at PFC are so low, you more than likely wouldn't need a loan anyway.
