Fair enough, but be forewarned that these certifications are provided by 3rd party vendors, not the school. These vendors each have their own requirements to obtain a cert. For example an A+ exam is pretty much open to anyone, but a PMP exam requires over 7,500 hours of certifiable experience and 35 contact hours of instruction just to apply for the test. Similar quals. are out there for more advanced certs like the CCIE, etc. I generally consider WGU to be a great program for someone already working in the field or an experienced professional without a degree.
What other schools outside of UofP and WGU have you checked out? Have you contacted WGU to find out what they would do if in fact you did not qualify to sit for a certification exam? Have you ever certified in anything before and are you carrying in qualifications which may speed the process?
