I’m hoping somebody in this forum might have some good advice for me.
About 3 months ago I finished my AA with Axia (UoP). In November I contacted Ashford University about attending. At the time I was told that UoP had used half of my available student loans $6250 and that I couldn’t attend until February 2nd. In late December I was contacted by an enrolment advisor who wanted to know if I was still interested in attending. I explained the problems with the overlapping loan. He told me he would get back to me.
Two days later he said that it wouldn’t be a problem as long as my class ended after February 2nd. In early January I started my first class. Everything went well until the last week, and then the same enrolment advisor told me he had gotten the wrong information from the financial department, but he was going to fix it.
Now two weeks later the school wants almost $3000, but agrees I was given wrong information. I’m not sure what I can do to resolve this problem in what I would consider a reasonable manner. What can I do?
