    Do I count?

I am a stay at home mom that works... We have a farm, I ebay, and I mystery shop, but I didn't finish applying for the working mom scholarship because I don't have a place of employment. Due to my hubby's work starting to "cut costs," I am looking into Penn Foster's accounting program so I may be able to work at home so I can still work the farm and continue to homeschool my girls.

So, for now, are there any work at home mom scholarships or financial assistance? Thanks!

I'm not sure about that particular one, but you can always use our free scholarship search to see whether there's something out there for you:

    Re: Do I count?

    Katie,

I too am a stay at home mom that works. I homeschool my son, occasionally ebay and do some freelance jobs from the comfort of my office chair. My husband provides the only income in our household so when I decided to take catering courses I had to make sure that it worked for my family and it wouldn't bankrupt us. I can tell you from experience that if you don't qualify for scholarships or financial assistance, Penn Foster will work with you on a price you can afford to pay each month. My husband paid less than $30 a month while going to Penn Foster, and I am paying around $32 a month for my Catering Course.

Make sure you look into every possible scholarship possible, you never know what you might qualify for.

    Good luck,

    Cat

If you enroll at Penn Foster College you won't need scholarships.  They have a very reasonable monthly payment plan, and the payments are interest-free.  It doesn't get much cheaper than PFC.

I agree with Terry, $30 a month is less than a cable bill or what most people spend on Starbucks.  Definitely doable in most households.
