Hi,

I'm just about to finish the last of the classes I have to take to get to sixty credits and I hit a WALL when I tried to do the assignment called "The House". It's an excel based tutorial that counts for 10% of the grade. I emailed the instructor 3 times now to help me understand a concept and he hasn't been very helpful. I don't know where to turn and each assignment builds on the last one and they all have to be handed in at the same time, so I can't just guess and hand it in and get some feedback (!).

I've never had this problem before and wonder how others on this forum have been able to deal with it ?????

PF Graphic Design Program - anyone??

Hi ~

I'm looking into online programs, and have not decided which school and program to go with.
I'm interested in Graphic Design or Desktop Publishing, and PF's tuition is affordable for me, but I want to make a smart choice and be sure that
I can find work in the field that I choose.
Does anyone have any experience with this PF program, and were you able to find work quickly, using your training?

Any info/advice/tips would be very helpful ~

Business Management or Marketing

I want to study business and marketing but I have to choose one or the other. My goal is to get an associates and then a bachelors. NA or RA it really doesn't matter. I will get my associates with Penn Foster and then either continue on for the bachelors in business or transfer. Would the marketing associates be a good stand alone degree or should I do the associates program in business to make a smoother transition to business bachelors? Thanks in advance for any response.

Hey all,

After alot of time trying to decide what to do, I have decided to enroll in Penn Foster's Associate's Degree in Business Management program! I've been out of school for 20 years and I'm a little worried about being able to do the workload in addition to working a full time job, and devoting time to my wife and two daughters at the same time.

I think that I have a plan together that will enable me to do all of this (hopefully), time will tell.

I have a feeling that I probably should not have enrolled on a holiday weekend though. When I submitted my enrollment, it said that it is being reviewed and once it is accepted I will receive my student ID number. On the website, it states that if you enroll online, you will receive the ID number immediately. I was hoping to get a little bit of a jump on my studies since I'm off from work until Tuesday......I guess not.

Keep me in your prayers everyone....I have a feeling that I'm gonna need them!!

Hi, my name is Terry, and I write the "My Penn Foster College Experience" blog here at eLearners (http://community.elearners.com/blogs/default.aspx?GroupID=17). I am enrolled in the Associate of Science in Marketing degree program. I just finished the first semester and I'm preparing to take my proctored final exams. I'd like to hear from other PFC students, especially those who are further along in their programs, or even from some PFC graduates. Any thoughts about the school...good, bad or indifferent?

So far, I have enjoyed my Penn Foster College experience, and I'm looking forward to the second semester!

Penn Foster High School Course

I have been homeschooling my son for a few years now, and he does have a few learning disabilities when it comes to language arts (due to his ADHD) so I've got some worries when it comes to signing him up for the Penn Foster High School Program. My husband and I have discussed it and he seems to be for it, but I'm really worried that my son is just not ready for this. I know that there are some of you that have kids who are taking advantage of the PFHS so I'd really appreciate your feedback.

Hi! I'm THIS CLOSE to signing up with Penn Foster for the Paralegal diploma program. (Don't need the degree type as I have a Bachelor's already).

I'm interested in what your experience has been so far...regarding the curriculum AND dealing with the school itself.

Their program looks very interesting and complete, and my understanding is that they have a good reputation. But, it'd be great if actual students could tell about their experiences!

Proctored Exam Review Question

How does one study for the proctorered exam? Do you review all of the courses taken? Or, is there a summary in each course which reviews everything prior to taking the proctored exam? Thanks in advance.

I've done alot of research and reading and googling and Penn Foster is the best choice for me. I also live not to far from the Scranton student center.

I joined Penn Foster Colloege back in Feb 2008 in the paralegal degree. Around the same time I started to inquire about other paralegal students and about the school and this degree on this Penn Foster Blog/Forum and to date no one has taken the time to offer feedback about these two issues. When ever I come on the blog, out of almost 3,000 members there are almost always only 2 or 3 members online. Is this (PFC) school real?? How come the school does not have a its own "Serious" School Blog where students can exchange ideas??

Proctored Exams

I just finished the first semester of courses for the Business AS, I finished with a 97%. I need to take the proctored exams now but I'm stressing out because of the lack of info out there about these exams. How hard are they, is there enough time? Is it possible to look up the answers or do you have to know most of them ahead of time? What has been your experiences? It's my first ones so I'm nervous!

Hello everyone,
I'm a new here and seeking some advice regarding courses offered
by Penn Foster. I have a strong interest in Computer Art / Graphic
Design & I see that PF offers the following: Computer Graphic
Artist (Career Diploma), Graphic Design, (1-Year Certificate) &
Graphic Design (Associates Degree).

After looking over the courses I'm leaning towards Graphic Design
(1-Year Certificate) since the software included looks promising.
Since I have no experience in the field (but have theoretical
knowledge) would this be a good choice?
Any thoughts/advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why? Do we multipy or what? How do one get to the answer of 0.17ft?

Is it generally fairly easy to find a proctor? I looked at this site: http://www.ncta-testing.org/ and found that the closest testing center was in Lubbock (a 2 hr. drive). However, I'm in a city that has a community college as well as a UT campus, so I was wondering if one of these schools would be able to handle my testing.

Also, regarding the math exam, would a calculator be allowed (as one of my courses is algebra) or do I need to brush up on figuring it out on paper? Thanks!
