She pretty much told me that all of the information was on the WEB site, to fill out the app and send them my transcripts and that was it. When I started to ask her specific questions she once again reminded me that all of the information I needed was on the site, not a good start for me and Peru State. They did say however they would accept my credits from UOP, but I was afraid to ask her any question after that. She then said if I have any more questions to call her, why, so she can refer me back to the WEB site? Every time I asked her anything she said "well it depends" and would not give me one straight answer . I then contacted Fort Hays and she told me that they probably would not accept that many credits from UOP and that was it-PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!! I did not even get to ask her any questions. Even though there WEB site clearly states that they WILL accept credits from other accredited schools. Maybe I shouldn't have called on a Monday SHEESH!!!!!!!! OK back to the drawing board. Peru state and Fort Hays are out!!!!!!! I was expecting to try and get a little more information from both, but I guess not. I am at a loss and not quite sure what to do at this point.

Re: More alternatives

Right-O, since you are going to major in business, look at it as a benefit - (cost + risk) = return on investment type of scenario. If you can lower either cost or risk the higher your ROI. If you can increase your benefit and lower the cost and/or risk, even better. That's your first homework assignment. People have had very, very successful careers by just understanding that deceptively simple looking equation.

Re: More alternatives

Yeah...I think you need to shop around, too. I actually spoke to CTU about their marketing program a few years ago, but decided they were just way too expensive. There are many cheaper, and in my opinion, better programs out there. You may also want to look into Excelsior College, which operates much like Charter Oak. I would recommend Thomas Edison State College, but my father-in-law's wife is studying there and has nothing but complaints about them.

Western Governors University often gets overlooked as a viable option. It is also regionally accredited and self-paced, and they do have business programs. Their tuition is very affordable.

Re: More alternatives

Steven:

I have also requested info from Bellevue, Charter Oaks, and American Public University. The program at CTU costs $30,000 and is 15 months long with 2 classes or 30 months long with taking 1 class. I do not know that much about CTU but I have heard it is a good school.
