Received My Diploma in the Mail Today!

I received a large cardboard envelope in the mail today. Inside of it was my diploma from Ashford for my B.A. in Organizational Management. Even though I already had official notification that I had graduated and had already received a copy of my transcripts, getting to actually see the diploma makes it all worthwhile. This gives me more desire and purpose to continue working on my MBA classes than ever before. It definitely makes it worth every that I put into it. Next up, MBA by January, 2011.

MBA update

After taking the summer off which was very nice I have started back at it. My first class back was operations management that I just finished and I am happy to report an A. My GPA is now 3.86, if it wasnt for that B in Economics I would have a 4.0. It is funny how one lower grade can drop your GPA more than a good grade will raise it. how is that? Anyways I am in Business Law and after this class I only have 3 classes left and will be done in March. I cant wait and hopefully I will finish the rest of the courses with A's.

I start PSY 202 Adult Development and Life Assessment on November 10, 2009 and I have checked everywhere for the books that I need. Even Cheggs.com says they do not have any available right now. I am in desperate need of these books and I cannot afford to pay much for them. I would appreciate any help possible.

"Starting October 1, 2009, students will be able to purchase electronic textbooks online! Students can download textbooks for many of their courses straight to their computer, and eliminate the shipping costs associated with print versions of the same book. Offering electronic books is one more way that Ashford University is striving to make higher education more affordable and accessible."

I wonder if they are going to discount the cost of the books at all as they only mention eliminating the shipping costs. Hmmm...

I am winding down on my courses now. I currently have three courses left. I will be starting my last few classes next week. My problem is the books are expensive.

EDU 371 Phonics Based Reading and Decoding book is $162.00

PSY 370 Learning and the Brain is $142.00.

I was not expecting these books to be as expensive. If you know anyone selling those books PLEASE have them contact me.
