Check with your state board of education before you enroll at the school. My program did not entail student teaching, because I pursued lateral entry in my state of NC. Student teaching can be done locally at a school in your district. Not all programs require student teaching, unless you seek a teaching certificate from the school. GCU does have some programs that are not credential earning if you want to put off student teaching, but check with the state of NY before you enroll.

Re: grand canyon university RN-BSN program

Hi, I received one of my masters from Grand Canyon University. The school is not a diploma mill, it is regionally accredited by one of the 6 regional accrediting bodies. The classes are 8 weeks and you normally have at least 2 group projects in each class. Assignments range from projects and papers you have to write. I received an Education Masters from the school, so I dont know how the Nursing programs work, but I am sure it is the same. The school has flexible start dates, so a person can enroll every 8 weeks. I hope that helps.

Re: grand canyon university RN-BSN program
