The University of Liverpool is very well regarded, especially in the UK. It was ranked #45 - see http://education.guardian.co.uk/universityguide2005/table/0,,-5163901,00.html?start=40&index=3&index=3 -
out of the top 100 universities in the United Kingdom.

You seem know university of Liverpool quite well. How much would the online MSIT program cost in terms of US$. My dad is Leeds university grads with post graduate degree in chemistry and mechanical engineering. He likes the British school. I am not sure how well the UL degree is perceived in USA. Any information and suggestions aer appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Since so many IT workers in the US are foreign, it's not that strange for IT people to hold degrees from foreign universities.  I expect that those who recognize it will think it's fine, and those who don't won't think twice about it.

As far as academia goes, Liverpool will be well regarded, it's the same as regionally accredited.

I agree with Steve.  In fact I would be willing to bet that a Brit degree will go down a little easier than say one from Pakistan...but that's my .02.

I expect you're right.  Then again, Pakistan doesn't have any universities on the most recent SJTU ranking of the world's top 500 universities. (Neighboring India has two, though!)
