    Re: Aspen University

Hi everybody! I just wanted to give you all a quick update on my grading situation at Aspen. I contacted my instructor about it. He was very helpful and gave me some tips I could use to learn more from his comments. Now that I've gotten used to Aspen's teaching methods, I am VERY impressed with the school as well as with my instructor. I'm also impressed with the amount of information that's been presented in only a few weeks. I would definitely recommend the school to anyone who's interested in earning an MBA on a budget. Thanks again to everybody who offered advice! It was a HUGE help.

    Re: Aspen University

Does Aspen allow you to take more than one course per session? Anyone taking more than one per session? if so is it real hard, or doable to take 4 per session? Thanks

    Re: Aspen University

Whew! I imagine it would be nearly impossible to take 4 per session. The way it works is that students typically take 1 course per session. They have 8 weeks to finish an interactive course and up to 10 weeks to finish an independent course. The independent courses are self-paced, so you can finish each course as quickly as you want. It usually takes me abiout 4 days to finish one module if I'm really booking it. Automobile (There are 8 modules or sections per course.) In my opinion, if your goal is to earn your degree ASAP, I would take one course at a time and just finish them as quickly as possible. I read somewhere that a student was able to earn her MBA (?) in one year. You can take more than one per session if you'd like, but I wouldn't take more than two. I hope that helps! What degree program are you looking into?

    Re: Aspen University Masters

Its 10 essay questions per module basically..8 modules per course. Each easy is abouht 3/4 page single spaced on average  for me. My grades have been all A's and of the 30 odd assignments I have submitted 90% have been graded A 7.5% A- and 2.5% B+, so I must be doing it right. Citations are needed referencing sepcific areas are the test.

I agre that about 4 days per module is about as fast as you can go 3-4 hours per day.

    Hi,

I am new to this forum but I just wanted to say that I am enrolled in Aspen University's MSIS program and I just finished my first class. It was a lot of hard work but well worth it. I think the school has a great curriculum and you learn quite a bit. Good Luck

    Re: Aspen University

Welcome to the forum! Big Smile I'm pretty new myself, but I've found that the people on this forum are VERY helpful. Congrats on finishing your first course. I hope your future classes go well. I'm on module 6 of accounting. I've always been more of a writing-oriented student and less of a numbers guy, so this one is tough. I am learning quite a bit, though. I also love the freedom of being able to work on my studies whenever I want and at my own pace. Just for conversation's sake, does anyone here now if transcripts are available through the Aspen U web site? Can they be ordered? I always like to have transcripts available during job interviews.

Contact the Registrar Suzanne Partain at: spartain@aspen.edu  She can help you order transcripts.

    Hi Abner,

Are there any proctored exams in the MBA program, or do you have to write essays at the end of each course?  I'm just curious.
