Hi Sudha - I can only give you my impressions. There continue to be some people who have a negative view of distance learning degree programs. Mostly I think these people have done little or no research into the subject and are basing their opinions on myths and guesses. More and more people are turning to distance learning degree programs and as that occurs, more and more employers are coming to realize their value as well. When you go for an interview will the interviewer be enlightened to this or not? Who can say?
Most people have become attracted to distance learning programs because of their committments to their job and their family. Can you afford to quit your job in order to return to school? Is there a program that meets your needs within traveling distance of your home/job? If you've answered "no" to either of these questions then distance learning may be your only real alternative. Fortunately, these degrees programs are becoming more numerous every year and as this occurs employers are becoming more comfortable with hiring DL grads.
