I need help re online education

I am very much interested on online education. Since I am a mother of two lovely kids, I can't find enough time to enroll myself on a real school and attend a real class. I have to attend to my kids and a single mom, my friend (who also takes care of my kids when I'm out working) introduced this website (online education) to me. I have read it but I don't know if this is the one for me. I want to learn more about online education first, before I enter into something that I would regret later. Is there anyone here who can suggest more online education website? Thanks much in advance.:)

Re: I need help re online education

For starters, there's no reason that an online program at a school that only offers distance learning isn't a "real" program at a "real" school.  Perhaps you're looking for the word "traditional"?

As for SWIHA, it's accredited by ACCET, which is recognized as a national accreditor by the U.S. Department of Education, so there's that in its favor.  Looking at their programs they look a little alternative to me, I prefer solid science when it comes to healthcare and wellness, but I suppose that's besides the point.

Which of their programs are you considering?

Like Steve said, online does not mean "fake".  In fact the relatively well known Harvard University has an online degree that is anything but fake.  (note the sarcasm please).  Some other famous schools with online programs/degrees or offerings: Notre Dame, Cornnel, Duke, LSU, University of Texas, University of Tennessee, University of Florida, multiple Cal State Schools, OU, NYU, Stanford, the list can go on and on.

I assume you've heard of some of these schools Wink

    Link7881,

As the others have mentioned, your online education will be real, and so too will the work that you put in!  Cajun listed some of the well known schools with online programs, and that only begins to scratch the surface.  Depending on exactly what you're looking for (i.e. what degree or certificate program), Linfield College could be the perfect option.  They offer a variety of online courses and degree programs.  They also offer a great resource in the form of the "Online College Guide," a detailed look at an online education and what it entails.  It should be a great resource for you.

    Best of luck.

Just look around on the net for the program you want go to the collegeboard.com  and see how many schools offer .If I knew of a site that had only two year online schools i would post that as well .2 years are much cheaper than 4 years  you can save alot of money. If you are having a hard time in finding the time make a sample schedule for you to create .Work,study/class and personal time .

Well, let us know which subject you want to study and we'll be happy to make suggestions.  That's more useful than a list usually anyway!

Re: I need help re online education

Check out CSUGlobal.org and see what they have to offer.  I work full time, am a single mom, and still have time to do all the things a mom must do for her family along with fitting in time to get my homework done!

Good luck, and it's never too late to learn!

That's the truth!  If you're younger than 95 years old, then this lady shows you can't use age as an excuse:
