    Why...

...doesn't anyone offer an online MA/PhD in Philosophy? I would settle for an MA. Really, given the subject matter, Philosophy would be a great candidate for a distance-based learning program. Lots of reading, discussions via forums/chats/etc... sigh. I don't have the time to go to a physical campus. Life is too demanding. I really wish that more universities would offer programs I'm interested in. Hmm

Actually if you do not mind an MA in Humanities with an emphasis in philosophy California State U. Dominguez Hills has a wonderful program by reputation.  If you don't mind a NA school Harrison Middleton U. has an MA in Philosophy and Religion and a Doctor of Arts program.  They use the Great Books Method which I personally find interesting...

Hm... I may have to look into that, just to get some more information. Thanks!

Are you from Louisiana, too? I lived there until Katrina hit. Just noticed your user name and the Saints graphic.

Yep, I'm from St. Francisville just outside of Baton Rouge.  The saints logo is actually the Ashford University Saints (where I'm getting my MBA) in Clinton, IA but I'm also a huge New Orleans Saints fan too, so it works out.

Over all else however I am an LSU Tigers fan who ironically enough could probably beat the New Orleans Saints...Wink

If you already have a Master's and are ready to apply for a doctoral program, you might consider the University of South Africa.  They're specifically a distance learning institution, and have basically every subject at every level.  They're also very inexpensive.  The downside is that it can be challenging to navigate the bureaucratic processes to get started.
