    Any PennFoster Paralegal students here?

Hi! I'm THIS CLOSE to signing up with Penn Foster for the Paralegal diploma program. (Don't need the degree type as I have a Bachelor's already).

I'm interested in what your experience has been so far...regarding the curriculum AND dealing with the school itself.

Their program looks very interesting and complete, and my understanding is that they have a good reputation. But, it'd be great if actual students could tell about their experiences!

    Thanks.

did you sign up?  I went through the program at Penn State.  Still would love to take debtors rights'/creditors remedies but it's hardly ever offered.  Although I got an associate's in legal administration and a paralegal certificate, I still think attorney's are the diffricult teachers, they never give breaks.  I took a computer class at Muhlenberg but didn't find that near as hard.

Have you signed up yet? I have read and read and I'm really leaning towards the Penn Foster Paralegal course. I've compared course outlines from many schools and they are all teaching the same thing. The thing I find is the biggest difference is the tuition. Also Penn Foster seems to be more "doable" financially for those of us who can't qualify for any student loans because I am still responsible for a student loan even tho the school was a fraud and sued.  I got divorced and my loan went into default. Hence why I dont qualify. So for me, I still keep leaning towards Penn Foster.

Why dont you look up for reviews in sites like studentsreview.com,thestudentroom.co.uk,studential.com,etc

You will find a lot of info in them

Hi I am a student at Penn Foster, I enrolled about little over a month ago, and I like it so for, but my only problem has been with the writing portion. Mary

I'm interested in hearing about people's experience in the Penn Foster paralegal thing myself.  Primarily out of curiosity.  I can say that people seem largely satisfied with their degree programs if that's any indicator.

I am having a little trouble with the writing. I have always been scared of English. My daughter who is at a High School where she is able to take college classes is helping me out but I tell you this Message board has great support team. Boy o boy to I need a lot of encouragement.

cynthia, try to google OWL or "online writing lab".  I think you will find them to be a big help.

I have already been through the English Composition course at Penn Foster College, and although I stressed out over it at the time, it wasn't bad at all.  I actually had very high grades in this course, and enjoyed the writing assignments quite a bit.  Just follow the study guides and read the examples and you should do fine.  You can also look up different examples of compositions through Google, just to get a feel for how the various compositions should be constructed.  That helped me quite a bit.
