    Hi!

    Hi,

i applied for on-campus learning but unfortunately my visa application was rejected and it seems very unlikely to be issued.

Now,i am looking for onlin degrees to prevent my time form wasting ,Even if i applied for visa agian and this time it accepted ,i can use credit transfer option.

there are one problem about my application and the problem is that i've never taken any of English language proficiency exams, and it one of the musts for an international student, those exams are only taken in capital city,i am too far from capital city and usually there are few places and almost always no empty place,so i may not be able to take it soon.(although tuition fee also can be a problem ,because currency value of my place is very low,and the fee is equal to millions and like  half or one third of a house price)

Please, help me and tell me what i should do.

    Thanks

    bye for now.

    Re: Hi!

Not having access to tuition money is a big problem, especially since there aren't very many scholarship opportunities for distance learning students.

Where have you been looking when it comes to schools?  I ask because if you're an international student who has trouble with tuition you may want to look at the University of South Africa.  They've done distance learning for a long time, in fact that's all they do, and they're many times less expensive than an American or British university.  If you haven't taken a look at them, check out their site.

On a personal note, I'm considering doing doctoral study as an external student through a South African university, and I think their universities are some of the best deals in higher education on the planet.

    Good luck,

    Re: Hi!

I second Steve's advice.  Also English proficiency exams are really more for your protection rather than to exclude anyone.  If you struggle with these exams there is a reason.  I understand the testing center may be a ways away, but if at all possible you should study for and take the exam if for no other reason than to reassure yourself that you are ready.
