Speculation!  I think it would be unusual to have significant credits denied.  Some might fail to satisfy a major but would likely be accepted otherwise.  There are 100 other regionally accredited schools who would take them all.  Thank goodness for private enterprise.

Not speculations go a head and try, if they accept 20% of your credit it will be a real shocker! If you don't want a terminal degree you have to be as discernment as you can when you pick your  school! UCLA in particular are very picky about what lower level classes they give credit for and I am sorry most online institution do not offer compatible classes especially one with tarnish reputation, academic probation and graduates that HR personal can not do much with ( big differences in depth , quality of instructors and instructions wise) . Don't fool yourself, AIU falls into the undesirable category at this point.

I imagine UCLA would trash the credits but I wasn't really referring to UCLA.  If our student could attend UCLA, he probably would have.  I imagine that 100 other private for-profit and lesser know non-profits would love to take the student's money.   Remember - it's about the money.  If you've got it they want it.  Don't tell me that the U. of Phoenix would turn down credit from a warm body with a checkbook..

I agree on that one, and if it makes you feel better when I transfered to UCLA from my JC they only accepted 42 of my credits ( I had 60) but that was my fault for not checking with their advisors before I took some extra classes .

As of Tuesday, December 11th, 2007, AIU Online is no longer on probation. They made a public annoucement about it, saying that they were in "good standing" with SACS. Read more by clicking the link. LINK

Unfortunately for it legitimate students AIU's reputation is tarnished already. A friend of mine who's an HR person for one of the biggest temp agencies in the country has told me that she would hesitate referring their graduates to a coffee shop management position. Also, I  dare any AIU students to try to transfer their units into any CSU or UC school, their credits will be mostly denied as the school doesn't meet the criteria established by theses schools.

I think would think CSU schools would accept AIU's credits.  I gradutated from AIU in Feb 05 with a BA.   I am currently pursuing my MSA in Human Resource from Central Michigan University (CMU).  CMU did accept my credits from AIU.
