British person doing US online course

    Hi,

I've seen a couple of interesting online courses from US universities. Particularly relating to search engine optimisation and online businesses that would help me improve one of my newer businesses.

Anyone know how easy it is to enroll/participate if you're from the UK? I am assume anyone would be happy for the money but just wondered about the logistics and also any prerequisite qualification, would they understand or recognise my UK qualifications? I assume degrees from UK universities would be recognised but they might not know our 'high school' equivilants.

     Thanks in advance.

Most schools should enroll you without thinking twice about it.  If there's a program that interests you, I'd contact them and ask whether there's any barrier to enrollment for cash-paying foreign-based students.  I'll bet they say no.  As for high school, there are third party evaluation services that can verify your British high school diploma is the equivalent of an American one.  The school you attend will direct you to one.  In fact, if you did A-levels, you may get university level transfer credit for them.

I agree with Steve, there should be no problem for cash paying foreign students, especially if you have any previous college from a school in the UK.
