    BSN degree

Hello, I am trying to decide if I should pursue my BSN online. I am not sure which online program is worth pursuing. Does anyone have any experience with online BSN programs? Any assistance would be appreciated

The good news is you have a lot of options http://www.elearners.com/search/online-degrees/bachelor/nursing.htm

Some of the better schools I am familiar with are Western Gov. University and Liberty, I hear great things about these schools almost weekly.  My current boss is an alumni of Arizona State U. as well and she seems to have enjoyed her experience there, though her major wasn't nursing and for the very cost concious there's good old Fort Hays State University.  Again, you have a lot of good options.

    Hi Tim,

Do you have any other criteria that are important to you that might help narrow things down?

The hospital that I work for offers tuition assistance so I am really looking for a quality program that other people have been successful with. Thank you for your reply,

Has your hospital sponsored others for BSN programs and had those people report back on how they liked their various programs?  It might be worth asking.

    Re: BSN degree

In my opinion, if your course is something like BSN, I think you shouldn't pursue it online It may be a lot better if you experience it hand-in-hand so that when it comes to job hunting, you would be more confident. That's only my opinion, you can still do whatever you want because it's only a suggestion. ^^,

Wait a tic.  A BSN is not a clinical degree necessarily but instead more academic in nature.  Most people who go for a BSN are already working in the field as an RN in which case an online BSN would work just fine.

I agree with Cajun.  There are even BSN programs that are mostly online, but include some clinical work that's arranged to be at a site near you.  Getting an Associate's level nursing or allied health degree online would be sketchy, but I think higher level nursing degree programs are okay to do online.
