    Cheapest cost per credit.

Hi I'm' looking for an accredited school and am wanting to know what school is the cheapest per credit hour.  I have to be in school at least 12 hours per semester to maintain health insurance.  It may sound like a stupid reason, but being without health insurance is serious stuff. PLEASE HELP!

It's not a stupid reason.  The least expensive are probably Penn Foster College and Andrew Jackson University.  I think the latter has a "sponsored tuition" program where you only pay a fee per semester, but either of them is a bargain.

That said, even though your motivation is for health insurance, is there anything in particular you'd like to study?  If so we can probably help you find something ideal for you....

You don't mention what kind of degree or major you are looking for, and what type of accreditation will work best for you.  That will definitely weigh on your decision as to which type of school to attend.

If nationally accredited schools will serve your needs, it doesn't get much cheaper than Andrew Jackson University.  Sign up under their sponsored tuition program, and you'll pay about $400-$500 per semester (not including books).

Penn Foster now has bachelor degree programs, and they are about $90 per credit hour.

I'll second Steve and Terry, PF and AJU are going to be tough to beat.

By the way, if you live in California and a community college will work for you, tuition is roughly $25 per credit hour.  If you have to take 12 hours per semester, that's only $300 per semester.  That's probably the best deal going for college credits.
