I took three at a time as a Master's student, figuring that if I did that four terms in a row I'd be done as quickly as possible. Term one, no problem. Term two, no problem. Term three, I can handle it. Term four, hey, it's the finish line! CRASH! See, I hit burn out. It was like the mental equivalent of when marathon runners describe that it feels like they've hit a wall after twenty miles or so. It took me seventeen months after that to actually finish everything. I might as well have gone more slowly, and I would have had a better GPA. Live and learn. -=Steve=-

Cajun:You're right, it is a bad idea at the master's level. I did it, I regretted it. How long are the undergrad courses?
The undergrad classes are six weeks. The first class must be take alone, but after that, you are allowed to take two classes simultaneously.

Re: Any Ashford Bachelor Degree Students?
I'm working on a BABA, and have taken two courses at the same time 6 times in a row now. It's not too difficult, although if you have to take Statistics, I wouldn't advise taking anything else with it. My grades slipped a little bit - fI went rom a 4.0 to a 3.71, but I don't really care. By doubling up, I can finish sooner which is more important to me. If you go to the online course guides, you can see what the workload is for the courses, and schedule it so that you aren't stressing quite so much during the class. There are a couple of drawbacks. It's difficult to catch up if you get sick or have an emergency. Also, you will need to look at the credit maximum policy. If you go over a certain number of credits in the academic calendar year, you have to get approval from the Provost to exceed the maximum. That being said, I got the approval with little difficulty, and was approved to take 48 credit hours per year.

Re: Any Ashford Bachelor Degree Students?
I am going to work on doing two classes beginning next year. I figure after 29 years being out of school, I need time to gear up and handle family, work, kids ya know ...life

AZatAshford:Going for it one class at a time, finishing Feb. 2010. I work two jobs, and one at a time is enough for me. So far, all "A's," so I figure why mess with success?
Two jobs and school on top of that? I'd take it slow too! -=Steve=-
