    Cost of Books

Does financial aid pay for books or do you have to pay out of pocket?  I keep seeing posts from others stating that their books are costing over $100 and I wouldn't be able to afford that.

Books are typically out of pocket expenses.  If you want to avoid paying out of pocket, you can either buy books used or attend a school where books are included in the tuition.

Generally you have to pay out of pocket.  That being said, I've known countless students where the school would take the maximum amount from financial aid per semester and refund the student the difference, that money often went to books.
