    MSN Program- Questions

Hello I am looking for any and all opinions from anyone that has been in the WGU MSN program. I am leaning towards the program and would like to hear from someone that has actually participated. Anyone out there with the pro's and con's?

    Thanks so much!Smile

I replied to your other post but I'll leave this one here in case an alumnus happens to find it.

    Re: MSN Program- Questions

Thanks. I am finding it challenging to connect with anyone that is enrolled or has been in the WGU MSN program. It might be due to the program not yet having the proper nursing accreditation. If anyone has suggestions on other sites to try and link up that wuld be great.

    Re: MSN Program- Questions

    MustangRN,

    According to WGU's website, "WGU’s Competency-Based Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programs Accredited Through 2014" http://www.wgu.edu/about_WGU/ccne_accreditation_5-11-09

WGU was listed on CCNEs website for one day and now they are again listed as an applicant for CCNE accreditation. http://www.aacn.nche.edu/CCNE/reports/rptNewApplicants.asp?sort=state#UT

    Regards,

    Re: MSN Program- Questions

I have also looked into their program and it looked good. I had to cross it off my list because it is not accredited and for my work to cover part of the cost it has to be CCNE.

    Are you enjoying their program?

    Re: MSN Program- Questions

    Love the program.

Next step Post-MSN (i.e. CNS,NP or DNP) program.

Good luck on your MSN program selection.

You could ask the university to connect you with one of their grads.  Most schools will do that for you.  They're not randomly selected, of course, but it would give you a sense of what it would be like.
