plymouthrock: KHSA301/ABNER... You're both welcome. Actually, am so excited about the project, I think I'll go see if i can get it published... ;-) (If anyone wants, I'll post my experiences as I go down that path... )
Yes, please continue to share your experiences, it would be much appreciated. If we all share our knowledge and experience, we all benefit. Forums like these help thousands of people. If you don't mind, when you do post your capstone experiences, can you go under the Aspen section and start a new thread titled something like "My Aspen Capstone experiences". This way, it will be easy to find. Have you taken the final yet? If not, are you going to take the essays, or the multiple choice format? Thanks, Abner

Ok... thanks for the suggestion... I'll go start that one... about the test, I'm opting for the essay... (will take essay format, hands down, over multiple choice - any day!) :-) especially since 7 out of 12 classes are it-related, and there are 10 essay questions (choose 3)... I am thinking I can land at least two of the IT-related questions, and find the 'most tolerable' of the core-business related questions (if there's one on ethics,I'm 'loaded for bear'...

Hi Everyone, First, I can't find where to start a new forum (or blog for that matter) ... if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it... Now, for the good stuff... I"M DONE!!!!!!!!!!!! WAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took the essay version of the test... I was expecting to receive, for example, a set of financial reports, and then answer questions on it... for the MBA-IM, however, it was different... and, interestingly enough, there *WAS* a question on Business Ethics... There was one question for each of the courses (with their identifiers), and the four hours was *just enough* time... I could have written a lot more if I had the time... but I'm more of a long-winded person than most, I suppose... :-) The biggest concern I had was making sure I stayed on track, which means I often went back to the question itself to make sure I was answering "that which was asked"... I have a friend who is a Dean at a local private college, and I arranged to take the test there... in a study/conference room in their library building... it was a bit weird walking onto a campus, but kinda neat as well... Got the word this morning that I passed the comp. exam... The questions were not all that dissimilar to the discussion questions we had at the end of each module... In retrospect, reviewing my papers for each subject (as a means of re-acquainting myself with the course content) was the best review... this way, I could remember what the main points were, and in some cases where we had more than one text per course, remember the book in which I would want to look for a certain point. I took the Business Ethics question, and two of the IT-based questions... for the IT-based questions, I used a few other books beyond just the ones for that course (used 6 books in all)... I had wheeled in all 15 text books purchased, because I wasn't sure just what I was going to be asked to do, but then again... walking onto a college campus with a bunch of books... at the worst, I looked a bit nerdy.. I was handed the printout of the exam, and I took the first few minutes to glance at the questions and figure out which ones I would answer... since it was done in MS Word, I was able to use my computer (showed my proctor that the WiFi switch was 'Off'... ), and saved to a jump/flash drive... my friend took it to his PC, uplloaded, and sent it in to Aspen... All in all, it was a far-more-pleasant-then-dreaded experience... Oh yeah... did I mention that I"M DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sincerely, PlymouthRock ... any questions?

Hi Singh- I am taking my Multiple Choice test next week. Do I need to know the accounting formulas and other calculation Or is it just conceptual and definition based questions? Can you skip and go back to previous questions? Pl. reply ASAP.

Good job! Does the final have to be taken before the capstone, or does it matter? I am on my last "regular" class, then I will probably start the capstone, then the final. Abner
