The Ashford classes went by very quickly and were very demanding.  I don't remember ever having to do any group projects.  I did have a couple of quizzes, but nothing like a mid-term or anything, it was all about research papers of which I probably did hundreds and of course discussion questions.  I blogged on it, you may be able to find that blog still on here somewhere.

Thanks for all of your help. I am having such a hard time deciding on which school to attend. After having such a bad experience at UoP, I don't want to make the same mistake again. Ashford and Jones International have military benefts where they discount tuition to 250 a credit. Plus they pay for books and tech fees. Does anyone know if learning teams are required at Jones International?

This is just my not so unbiased opinion, but Ashford at $250 an hour with books included is a steal.  I paid WAY more than that for my MBA from them.  Just thought I'd toss that out there.  Also their online services, technology and support are a lot slicker and better layout than pretty much anywhere else I've gone with perhaps the exception of Bellevue who while they are not as intuitive, have a broader technology offering.  Personally I'm for function and seamless transitions from one class to the next.

That's a pretty good deal.  I know more about Ashford than I do about Jones, as Ashford gets good reviews from students.  Jones, nothing either way -- could be a problem or it could be an unsung hero, no way to tell.

Ashford does sound like a pretty good school, but I've also read some bad reviews about them. I just don't want to make a bad decision when it comes to my education. I am researching a few other school, so wish me luck guys. By the way, thanks for of your input and support.

Okay. so I spoke with the enrollment rep at Post University. She said that the military discount is 250 a credit and books are free. I checked out their school website and the online program looks pretty good. I think this might be the school. Does anyone know about this university?

I never really hear much about Post, thus of course I've never heard anything bad about them and I do know of at least one Post student but his school was never really discussed at length and unfortunately I really don't know how to contact him these days.  After browsing their page I will say it appears they definitely have their act together, easy to navigate site, regionally accredited, decent looking programs.  Looks like a win to me.

That's a decent rate for a regionally accredited school, which Post is.  They have an interesting history -- founded in 1890, affiliated with Teikyo University in Japan for fourteen years (during which they were called "Teikyo Post University") and back to being an independent institution for the last five years.

The Japan connection may help if you decide to get involved with international business.  Just a thought...

Sorry, I should have been more clear: There's no such connection anymore since they became independent.  I have no idea if there are any residual international aspects five years on.  If that's of interest it might be worth asking them?

I am looking into their hr management program. I talked to the enrollment advisor and she gave me a lot of info without sounding like a comercial. The advisors here are not pushy compared to the other schools that I have contacted.
