I am having some trouble finding the information for licensure requirements for the state of tx could some one give me a reliable source to find this information. I tried calling the DOE in Tx to see if they had a website but being that they are 5 hours ahead it made it difficult for me to get ahold of someone. Thank you.

Go to the State Board for Educator Certification site:  www.sbec.state.tx.us/SBECOonline/

 or you can find a link to it at the Texas Education Agency's website...google for it's site because I don't know if offhand.  Look for "Assessment/Testing" caption on the left side of the page.  That leads to a page that includes something like "How to be a Teacher in Texas" and it links to the State Board for Educator Certification site.
