Re: I want to make money online- from home
This is a distance learning forum, so I doubt you will receive many responses to your question. With that being said, exactly what kind of work are you looking to do online? Web site design? Freelance writing? Consulting? Unless you have technical or writing skills, you are unlikely to find online work. There are web sites which have job boards for freelance positions like the ones listed above, such as oDesk.

Re: I want to make money online- from home
Exactly what are you asking for? You want us to give you a reliable job site? Find a job for you? Recommend a training center for working from home? What? I know a few people who work from home but that rarely means they never leave the house. The people I know that do this are: Web programmers and/or database administrators Outside sales consultants who telecommute but often they travel a lot Insurance adjusters who work from their home office but again travel a lot Insurance coders and transcription Writers Photographers (though he doesn't make a living at it) Private Investigator (contractor) who has a special skill and is often utilized by defense attorneys Adjunct Professors So give us a hint, what are you qualified to do, what do you want to do, etc.

Re: I want to make money online- from home
Actually I want to make some money using the INTERNET. I am not an expert on some technical matters like Web programmers and/or database administrators or Outside sales consultants or something like that. However I believe I have perseverance (as I am in need of some more money) to do some work like Data entry or Affiliate Programme or Virtual Office Assistance. Point to note that I am not from the U.S.A. Always I have hearing that Internet brought revolution by making the world without border. Then why I am not finding any job of Data Entry in the Internet. Whenever I go to any site of this kind in the end I find they all are fakes. Please help me finding some authentic websites where I can earn some money by exploiting my above mentioned skill (Data Entry or Effiliated Programme or something like these which do not require much technical skills). Sincerely Azam

Re: I want to make money online- from home
I would think that most companies would be more likely to outsource data entry to a foreign company that has a center full of employees rather than to individuals. Otherwise the cost of oversight would nullify any cost benefit to just having it done in house. I think you're much more likely to find real opportunity for international telecommuting if you're highly skilled. Sorry, I wish I had something more useful to tell you.

Re: I want to make money online- from home
I understand you'd like to stay home and do some office work and earn a regular paycheck, but the truth is there isn't a whole lot of advertising for that type of job. Most people I know that work from home were already established at their current employers, then moved to a home office as a means to cut costs. To be honest with you, I think you're narrowing your search a bit by just looking for data entry or office type work. There are a ton of people that are making money hand over fist on Ebay, so why not try that. As a matter of fact, when we need extra money we just sell some stuff on Ebay and there ya go. It's not the most lucrative job, but it will make you money. Good luck, Cat

Re: I want to make money online- from home
I used to work from home, and I can tell you it's not all it's cracked up to be. As Cajun said, although I technically "worked at home", I left home a lot to actually do my job, although my office was based in my home. You can't expect to find a job telecommuting if you don't have any specialized skills. You must know how to do something with your computer that people are willing to pay for. I know of some people who totally make their living by blogging, but it takes time to build traffic and income is not guaranteed. The people who can do it full time and make a decent living at it are in the extreme minority. You might consider starting your own business and offer services online, but again it is a lot of work and there are no guarantees. If everybody could stay home and make their living online, they would certainly do it.

Re: I want to make money online- from home
I use to work from home with a company called LiveOps.com. They are a outsourcing call center where I was an at home call center agent. I took calls from all those lovely infomercials that you see on tv...Ronco Knives, Walkfit Insoles, Bare Essentials....you name it we took calls for it. I enjoyed it as I was able to work when I could and I liked that flexibility. They take calls 24/7 and you log onto their website and log in and the calls are directed to your home. The prerequisites is that you need to have two phone lines & high speed internet...no cell phones allowed. This is a legitimate company out of Palo Alto, CA and I worked as an independant contractor. I worked for LiveOps for two years and just stopped in February of this year as I moved to a new home and didn't want a landline. Check out their website and submit an application and if you don't hear anything within 3 months resubmit another application...now is a good time because of the holiday's coming up and the call volume is really high and they'll be hiring...best of luck!! :) http://www.liveops.com/

Re: I want to make money online- from home
There are many people around the world who would like to learn to speak English better. There are outfits that connect those people with English speakers, the two converse online through microphones and speakers. I don't have any contact info, this is just something I remember seeing a while back, but it looked interesting, and the only requirement was being a native speaker of English. If you do some Google searches you may find firms that do this.

Re: I want to make money online- from home
Hi, your question is wide open. You are certainly aware of the vast amount of marketers looking for prey like yourself. You left yourself open. I suggest to narrow your field to your interests. Find a niche. Be clear on what you want and most of all have fun doing it. No one can possibly fail in todays world with a desire to succeed. "Putting Off" is the only failure to fear. I'm fortunate to find a personal extremely wealthy mentor to make me see the light. You can have the same by pursuing a bit further. Think "Outside the Box"

Re: I want to make money online- from home
Azam, Here is a magazine that is dedicated to starting a home based business, they have articles to help you get started as well. Have you though about something like Ebay? If you have the ability to get wholesale items you can make a good profit with only basic at home skills. If you are serious about making it work then go out and drum up the business. An easy one is medical transcription where you go to a doctor office and pick up their voice transcriptions of patience and enter them into a file. This has went by the wayside in the US thanks to the new privacy policies. There are multipile business opportunities out there, if you have a local library branch there are most likely books on the subject there as well. If not a home based book seller on Ebay or Amazon can fix you up. http://www.homebusinessmag.com/

Re: I want to make money online- from home
Azam, As was noted by a couple of people, you need to be careful with "make money online" websites and services. Many of them ask for an upfront payment to learn about there method of making money online. I am sure there are some that are legitimate, but I would suspect that most are not. I am working on a new service to match buyers and sellers of services (www.offshoreadvisor.com). Our focus is helping US & European companies find workers in other locations like India and Eastern Europe. Our focus is currently on web design and programming, but in the next few moths we will add BPO services like data entry. Feel free to visit us in a couple of months and we can see if we can help you find something. Mike
