Earlier this week, I thought I was in real trouble. My final essay was supposed to take me
several weeks to accomplish, not a few days.
I started to panic. I doubted
myself. However, today I am happy to say
my essay, and my first semester at Penn
Foster College,
are officially DONE!
I worked on the Persuasive Writing essay for several hours
each day for the past several days. I
even did extra research into how Persuasive Writing essays should be written,
and I let other people read my essay. “Be
brutally honest,” I said to them (and they were, thankfully).
After a final bit of polish and rewriting earlier today, I
submitted my essay through the student portal at the Penn
Foster College
web site. As I have mentioned before,
the essay is also the final exam in my English Composition course, and it
counts for 30 percent of my grade in the course. I’m not sure if I will receive a grade on
this essay before I take the final exams for my other courses, but I’m wasting
no time studying before it’s time to take my proctored exams.
I am mailing my proctor form to Penn
Foster College
this weekend. I was actually supposed to
do it a long time ago, but between work and studying, I kept putting it
off. Well, now it’s time to send
it. Without approval of my proctor by
PFC, I can’t take the final exams.
My final exams will cover the courses Business Orientation, Information
Literacy, Introduction to Business, Mathematics for Business and Finance, Principles
of Management, English Composition and Principles of Marketing. Considering I started this semester two (!)
years ago, I have a LOT of review to do.
After I send in the proctor form, I believe I will receive a
reenrollment form from PFC for a second
semester. After considering my time and
budget to continue my studies, I have decided to stick with Penn Foster…but
work much faster through the next three semesters.
