I didn’t feel like I really accomplished much in my
Marketing studies this past week. Family
activities kept me from finishing as much of it as I would have liked. I was hoping to be nearly done with my
Reflective Writing essay by now.
When I really thought about it, I realized that I’m almost
home. I have found a proctor at the
local public library, and he filled out the necessary paperwork for me to turn
in to Penn Foster
College. I’ll be putting that in the mail tomorrow. I also finished my required reading for the
Reflective Writing assignment.
Now all that’s left to do is actually write the essay. My proctor asked me when he though I might be
taking the test. I told him that it will
probably take me another two weeks to actually finish my assignments, and then
another three weeks to receive my grades.
After that, he should be receiving my final exams in the mail.
And then it hit me…I’m actually almost done! It has been a long grueling ride, and if it
hadn’t been for working seven day weeks and dealing with one family crisis
after another, I would probably be done by now.
But, I can only deal with the situation as it is now, and the fact is I’m
just about finished. I thought this day
would never come.
I should be taking my final exams sometime next month. In the meantime, I’ll have to cram for the
exam because I’m quite sure I have forgotten much of what I learned over the
course of the past two years. Maybe it
will all come back to me as I review the material.
I’m not sure how long it will take to get the grades on my
final exams, but I’m looking forward to applying to a couple of schools to wrap
up my bachelor degree. I decided I will
apply to both Thomas Edison State College and Charter Oak State College and see
which will offer me the most amount of transfer credit for the courses and
military training I have already completed.
I have already received a similar assessment from Excelsior
College, and they indicated I’m
about 30 credits short of a BA. I’m
anxious to see what kind of report I get from the other schools.
