For weeks now I have wanted to buy an 80 piece garnishing
set to use for my catering course, but dropping $200 on some kitchen tools is
not an easy thing to do. As a domestic goddess extraordinaire I have guilt
whenever I spend money on myself. I think it’s because as a mom we tend to give
to our loved ones first and think of ourselves last. But I need these tools to
get my course certificate, so I really have no choice but to bite the bullet
and spend the dough.
Prior to ordering my new garnishing tools I thought I’d try
to search the internet for the same set of tools at a lower price, and wouldn’t
you know I found a brand new set on EBay. I was truly shocked to see it priced
at a mere $85 so I watched it like a hawk for days, hoping and praying that no
one else out there wanted it. I was so determined to get the set that I didn’t
bid on it at all (for fear of starting a bidding war). Instead I kept track of
the hits on the page to make sure that there wasn’t a lot of demand for the
product. I mean who needs an 80 piece garnishing set?
I am now happy to say that I am the proud owner of a brand
new Chef Harvey 80 piece garnishing set. After the cost of shipping it’s
costing me $105. Almost half of what I was going to spend on it. Talk about a
savings!
So if you’re in need of a certain item for your classes like
an algebraic calculator or a microscope, I’d highly suggest looking at EBay,
Craigslist or Half.com. There’s nothing wrong with getting exactly what you
want for half the price.
Happy shopping.
