There were just two rules my husband asked me to adhere to
before enrolling in Penn Foster
Career School:
Finish the course and put it to good use. Since I thought these were fairly
reasonable requests, and he was going to pay for me to go through the course, I
agreed. Within hours my husband got online and signed me up for Penn Foster’s
catering course.
Instantly I had a giddy feeling inside of me. In fact, I’m
still excited about this whole learning prospect. I didn’t expect to receive
any information regarding my studies for awhile, but within 24 hours I had a
student ID sent to me from Penn Foster via email. Suddenly I could access the
website and begin my education adventure.
When I logged onto Penn Foster the first time, they required
me to enter in my student ID and set up a username and password. Once that was
done all of my learning material was available to me via PDF files. I sort of
glanced through it, but I’m a book girl. I need to have a book in my hand, and
a quiet room to study in otherwise it just won’t stick.
About a day later I received yet another email from Penn
Foster telling me that my first two study guides had been sent. There was that
giddy feeling again. I couldn’t believe how quickly everything was moving. Just
a few days earlier my spouse and I were simply discussing the course and the
next thing I knew I was a student again. As with most places that say they’ve
put “it” in the mail, I wasn’t really expecting to see my study guides for
about two to three weeks. Boy was I wrong. Three days after Penn Foster sent me
an email telling me they sent my study guides to me, they were in my mailbox.
Here we are, about a week after my husband signed me up for Penn
Foster Career School
and I’ve already gotten my study material and access to a wide assortment of
help on their website. I must say, so far I’m truly impressed with how quickly
this school is moving.
