My University of Michigan Experience - presented by eLearners.com

As a full-time registered nurse and a single mother of two teenagers, Melissa's got her hands full. But somehow she manages to find time to work on her online Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

Getting ready for the semester

Hi Everyone!

Wow!  The summer is nearly over when you consider that the first day of class is only about a month away.  I've been busy with work and socializing and taking care of my sick dad that the time has just creeped away from me.

Not that I haven't thought about school.  I believe in a previous post I mentioned that for my final semester of my BSN (Baschelor's of Science in Nursing) I needed to do some clinical time at a facility near my home for a class on leadership and management.  I have since contacted the facility and preceptor (the person who directs your activities at the site and teaches you some in regards to the facility) and have received permission to do my clinicals there.  I have sent the required information to the instructor of the class and expect to hear confirmation that the site is approved anytime.

I read today that tuition is rising at the parent university by more than 5%.  It seems to me that it goes up that much just about every year.  I attend a sattelite campus (virtually of course) and I have not heard how much the tuition there will go up.  Last time it was slightly less than the main campus, I hope that is true this year.

Hope this entry finds everyone well and enjoying their summer!

Melissa
