In a very nice gesture,
Norwich University sends students a gift at the beginning of each class. In the past they have sent a leather organizer, a larger leather portfolio, a steel mug for hot drinks, and more. These are very nice things. Last night, the doorbell rang and Santa Claus had brought me a nice Norwich blanket. It’s large, thick, and will keep me warm through the winter.
Also included in the package were my books for the upcoming International Business class. I am not only excited about the new class, but probably more so about getting out of this one. It seems like it lasted forever. I am working on my final individual assignment today and will get that turned in by Saturday. Then I’m done.
The last week has been spent on multi-hour conference calls with my team working on our final group project. We got a 90% on it. Now I am looking at finishing up the final individual project and taking the well-deserved 2-week break that follows.
I learned a lot in Operations Management. I also firmed up my feelings about numbers and calculations. I dislike them even more than before. Unfortunately for me, numbers are a major part of any job with any significance. I missed many hours of sleep during this term. There are many hours of my life I won’t get back. But in order to make it all worthwhile, I am looking for ways to take what I learned and generate a direct impact on my job.
I will be spending my 2-week break giving my brain a rest and listening to my newly acquired iPod Touch. I can’t think of a better way to maximize my down time.
