The End

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
Ill never look into your eyes...again

Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need...of some...strangers hand
In a...desperate land

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

If any of you are familiar with great, classic rock music, you will know those lyrics.  It’s so appropriate, yet so temporary.  Those lyrics come from a great song by the Doors called The End.

I write that because today is the end.  All good things come to an end (or so I’ve been told).  This is the last day of a four year journey that I never suspected would happen, much less be completed with such flying colors.  Today is the last day of my final term at Kaplan University.  I am going to miss, but my mind is focused on the future.  I am glad I’m done and looking forward to moving on.  In addition to the degrees I’ve earned, I’ve earned four years that I can reflect on for years to come.

Kaplan was a great experience.  I enjoyed almost every minute of it.  I accepted the challenge and conquered the mountain.  One of the biggest benefits that I’ve received from my Kaplan experience is the opportunity to write about my journey and share that information here at eLearners.  I have been able to help other people out with their decision about distance learning and provide guidance to those who asked.  Kaplan helped me feel qualified to do that.

Kaplan has instilled a true love for academics.  That’s something I didn’t have before I started this journey.  Kaplan has caused me to want to become more involved in distance education when I get my MBA by being an adjunct instructor.  Kaplan has made me appreciate others who are in the same boat I was in when I first started.  Now I encourage people to get their education.

To reflect back on everything I learned or to outline every benefit that I’ve been afforded would take an hour.  So I’ll end here.

Thank you Kaplan for four great years.
