Logged into my self-paced course!

First problem: I wasn't able to get my student username. I read through all the FAQ and Help pages, trying to figure out what was wrong. I found a phone number for 24-hour tech support and called them up right away.

"Your account does not have you marked as being a student. Call the distance learning center tomorrow; they will straighten it out for you."

So I called my contact there and left a voicemail.

Okay, so I can't access Blackboard® tonight. I'll just read through my lesson objectives … all nine of them. NINE?! This is only lesson one! Tongue Tied

I also saw that I have to have an oral exam at the end of the unit. I've never been a great test-taker, so an oral exam intimidates me quite a bit. I remember taking oral exams in German, but I didn't take them that seriously. This is a course that will help me with my work. What if I'm no good?

I'm sure the fear of failure lies within each of us. Those feelings have certainly bubbled up in me tonight!!

Greetings and salutations, I am your friendly neighborhood Content Director here at eLearners.com. (I am also mom to a seemingly tireless 4-year-old girl and owner to a cat that hates me. Oh well - can't win 'em all.)

I have a bachelor's degree in computer science from Rutgers College and am thisclose to completing my master's degree in instructional design from Western Illinois University later this year.
