Diploma Mills Running Rampant In Alabama

Be Careful of Diploma Mills

According to The Huntsville Times, Alabama is fast becoming a hub for diploma mills as the state exercises little regulation in licensing colleges.

Many of the institutions at issue operate online. A diploma mill, strictly speaking, is one that is unaccredited and operating without the regulation of a state or professional agency...The alleged credits usually won't transfer to other colleges or meet employer standards. Some diploma mills claim accreditation when they have none, or claim accreditation by a nonexistent or fraudulent organization(s).

Of course, at eLearners we only list accredited online colleges and universities. So feel free to browse our awesome selection online degrees stress free!

Greetings and salutations, I am your friendly neighborhood Content Manager here at eLearners.com. (I am also mom to a seemingly tireless 3-year-old girl and owner to a cat that hates me. Oh well - can't win 'em all.)

I have a bachelor's degree in computer science from Rutgers College and am thisclose to completing my master's degree in instructional design from Western Illinois University later this year.
