Top 5 Posts of the Week at eLearners.com – 09/28/07

Top 5 posts of the week

Hey guys,

Adrian here with your “Top 5 Posts of the Week”. Ready? Let's go:

1. Numero uno this time around is written by moi concerning the October 4th deadline (that's next Thursday folks!) for the $1500 eLearners.com "Where Learning Begins" Scholarship. To be eligible you have to be a woman (sorry fellas), age 21 and older, who is interested in or are currently enrolled part-time in an accredited online degree program.

2. Ever wondered what it's like going back to school after having a successful career? Tcord1964 over at the My Penn Foster College Experience paints a pretty good picture with his One Down, One to Go post.

3. Dumb Celebrities in Need of an Online Education. Need I say more? Courtesy of The eLearners News Blog.

4.  Cajun reports on the My Ashford University Experience blog that Masters or Doctorate degree holders can expect to earn $400k more over a lifetime than Bachelor degree holders. Later on in the We Happy Few post, he quotes some other interesting degree statistics. What can I say, I'm a sucker for stats that make you think Smile

5. "If you are married with kids and a full time job ...School is something of an auxiliary to life rather than the central theme". Cajun follows up on Tcord1964 theme of balancing a career and school, with his You have to be a genius to finish grad school post.  These two posts make some pretty good reading if you're also in the same boat.

That’s all for this week! Have a great weekend!! Paradise

Greetings and salutations, I am your friendly neighborhood Content Director here at eLearners.com. (I am also mom to a seemingly tireless 4-year-old girl and owner to a cat that hates me. Oh well - can't win 'em all.)

I have a bachelor's degree in computer science from Rutgers College and am thisclose to completing my master's degree in instructional design from Western Illinois University later this year.
