Get the bang out of your online education by making sure you're learning the
skills employers go crazy for. (Psst! If you're missing any items on
this checklist you should hop on over to our

Resources and Online Education Articles). In no particular order, these
skills are:
1. Inquisitive
- Can you smell B.S. a mile away?
- Are you detail orientated?
- Can you evaluate actions and policies?
2. Problem Solving
- Can you identify problems?
- Are you good at developing and launching solutions?
3. Math
- Are you comfortable with numbers?
- Can you create graphs and tables with spreadsheet programs?
(Microsoft Excel, etc.)
4. Advanced or Special skills
- Do you have experience with advanced software?
(Such as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Access; QuickBooks Pro, SPSS, etc.)
- Are you extremely knowledgeable in one of
your interests?
- Can you speak a foreign language?
- Have you won any awards or distinctions?
5. Environmentally Aware
- Do you volunteer your time and skills to
community organizations?
