Top 5 Posts of the Week at eLearners.com – 09/07/07

Hey everyone!  It’s that time of the week again!  I’m going over a list of the top 5 posts from last week!  Just pretend that the post was posted on Friday, hehe.  Smile  I hope everyone’s weekend was fantastic!

1.)  The first post that I would like to point out is WheelCipher’s “Asking The Right Questions” post over on his blog My Kaplan University Experience.  In it he lists four very important questions that anyone looking to pursue online education should remember to ask before signing their lives away.  Want to know what they are?  Go read the post and find out!

2.)  Cajun wrote another great post titled “Getting that job: Your resume is perfect, you applied for the job, now what?” on his blog My Ashford University Experience.  He gives some fantastic tips regarding what you should do after you have gone on an interview.  Many people forget to do some of these things and a small gesture like sending a thank you letter could really provide you with a bit of leverage when it comes time for your potential future employers to decide who will get the job!

3.)  Ter wrote a post titled “Need Financial Aid?” on the blog Financial Aid Answers.  Here she provides some great information about financial aid!  It’s a quick little post that specifically talks about FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) related financial aid, what you would need to apply as well as what happens after the application is filed.  It’s great post especially if you’re not entirely sure about how FAFSA works!

4.)  irishmum78’s next installment of the post “5 Simple Ways to Save $10 a Day” at the Affordable Online Education Blog is yet another very useful post!  It is a very quick read where she covers another five ways to save money.  I like tip number 18; “Use your debit card as a credit card at retail locations and avoid those $1 point of sale fees.”  Like I mentioned in my comment, with some debit cards you can sign up for their points programs.  (You get points for every $1 you spend and you can get things with the points when you accumulate enough of them.)  It’s an extra bit of incentive to make you use it as a credit card!

5.)  Lastly, WheelCipler wrote a great post titled “Developing Structure” on his blog My Kaplan University Experience.  In this post he discusses the environment that you work in and how it relates to your school work.  He gives a few tips about how he deals with separating out spaces to work.  It’s a wonderful read and can apply to anyone taking any kind of class!

Well, that’s all for last week’s installment of the “Top 5 Posts of the Week!!”  Have a great week!!

Greetings and salutations, I am your friendly neighborhood Content Director here at eLearners.com. (I am also mom to a seemingly tireless 4-year-old girl and owner to a cat that hates me. Oh well - can't win 'em all.)

I have a bachelor's degree in computer science from Rutgers College and am thisclose to completing my master's degree in instructional design from Western Illinois University later this year.
