University of Minnesota-Crookston’s Leadership in Online Education Take Center Stage

Earlier this month, the University of Minnesota’s Crookston campus was highlighted for its online educational programs.  Mr. Robert Bruininks had this to say during his State of the University address: "UMC continues to lead the system in online education, meeting traditional and non-traditional student needs.”

Also included in the speech was a discussion about the efforts to have the University of Minnesota be “one of the top three research institutions in the world.” He was cited as saying this: "It's aspirational and it's audacious, but that's not to say that it can't be achieved. But we must not get caught up in rankings or teaching to the test. It's about achieving stature."

By offering online degrees to students all over the United States and beyond, it’s clear that the University of Minnesota is serious about becoming a top institution.  For 2007, it has already received the ranking as one of the best comprehensive public colleges in the Midwest for a ninth consecutive year.

Currently, eLearners.com lists three bachelor degree programs from the University of Minnesota, Crookston:
