G'day! (Sorry, sorry, just couldn't help ourselves.)
The Australian
reports that there is growing demand for distance education, "with some
universities reporting a 50 per cent increase of course enrolments
during the past two years."
"In line with the change from traditional distance education's more
mature student uptake, the market incorporates the 20 to 60-year-old
bracket, with more mature-aged people enrolling in postgraduate
studies."
So similar to the changing student demographic in the United States,
Australian students are also seeking out online education because of
increased demands due to work and other obligations. The
flexible scheduling offered by fully online and blended learning is ideal for
both urban and rural dwellers.
