An overview of one graduate student's experience in researching, selecting, applying, and attending an online university. I am seeking my master's in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Capella University while working as an active duty Army officer, wife, and mother of four. I hope that my experiences and lessons learned will help anyone considering online education make an informed decision.
About Nicoline
Welcome to eLearners.com. I was invited to share my experiences with you owhile completing my MS in Industrial Organizational Psychology and working on active duty in the Army. Fortunately, I have the experience of being a female in the military and I have four children.
I have been married for 11 years, to a wonderful and supportive man that aids in making all my dreams come true. My four children are very active. During my final year in school my boys (8 and 5) were fully engaged in spring semester of 3rd grade and Kindergarten, as well as Coach Pitch Baseball and T-Ball... and oh yeah, they asked Mom to coach. On top of my full time work as a mom and military officer, I also take online courses from Capella University, coached youth sports, and started a scrapbooking business, while still finding time to get myself invovled in far too many projects.[:D]
I hope that these posts share helpful information about my journey through online education and some personal experiences that will help you make an informed decision about becoming an online learner. This path is not easy, but it is what I have made of it and I have found many rewards along the way.
Thank you for visiting.
